ZAGREB SURROUNDINGS
Full day tour to Hrvatsko Zagorje Region

Pick up from your hotel in Zagreb during morning hours and departure towards Hrvatsko Zagorje Region. Hrvatsko zagorje (meaning Croatian upland or hinterland) is a historic region north of Zagreb. It comprises the whole area north of Medvednica mountain up to Slovenia in the north and west. This is the area of green hills, dotted with tiny villages and top-of-the-hill castles, a fairy tale setting, just outside Croatia's biggest city. During the tour you will visit Trakošćan and Veliki Tabor castles as well as Kumrovec etno village, a birth place of the Yugoslav president Tito. Lunch in traditional rural restaurant included. Return to Zagreb in late afternoon, early evening hours.

WALKING TOUR OF ZAGREB
Discover the sights and sounds of Croatian Capital

Pick up from your hotel in Zagreb during morning hours. Approximate duration 3 hours. During the walking tour you will visit Upper town and see colorful St. Marko church, Croatian Parliament, farmers' market and Zagreb Cathedral. In the Lower town you will have an opportunity to learn about the main square of Zagreb, Croatian National Theatre and Zrinjevac Park. You will also visit Mirogoj cemetery, one of the most beautiful in Europe and you will hear about key figures from Croatian history. Time at leisure. Return transfer to your hotel.

ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Sunday, August 22nd: Zagreb – The Plitvice Lakes National Park – Trogir - Split
Pick up from your hotel in Zagreb and departure towards The Plitvice Lakes National Park, UNESCO World natural Heritage Site. Upon arrival guided walking tour followed by time at leisure. Lunch on own.
Departure to Split. En route stop in Trogir, gem of Venetian architecture on the Dalmatian Coast, another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Short orientation walking tour of Trogir.
Arrival to Split. Check in Hotel Globo or similar in Split Area. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2 – Monday, August 23rd: Split & The Dalmatian Coast - Dubrovnik
Breakfast and check out. Walking tour of Split, second largest Croatian town including entrance to the striking substructures of the Diocletian Palace from 4th Century, Split Cathedral and Jupiter Temple. Time at leisure for lunch. Afternoon departure to Dubrovnik. Drive along the scenic Dalmatian Coast.
Arrival to Dubrovnik. Check in Hotel Tirena or similar in Dubrovnik Area. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight.
Day 3 – Tuesday, August 24th: Dubrovnik
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to The Old Walled City of Dubrovnik, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site since 1979 for the walking tour. Walking tour will include entrance to the Rector's Palace and its museum as well as to the treasury of the Cathedral. Dubrovnik Old Town and its famous city walls are among the best preserved medieval structures on the Mediterranean and during the walking tour you will discover why it is called "The pearl of the Adriatic". Afternoon at leisure. Lunch and dinner on own to sample some of Dubrovnik restaurants and the Dalmatian cuisine.

Day 4 – Wednesday, August 25th: Dubrovnik - departure
Breakfast in the hotel. Check out.
Optional transfer to the airport / Dubrovnik Marina / hotel of your choice in Dubrovnik, surrounding area or nearby islands.
